Hendershot Cowart represents all types of providers in fraud investigations. We have represented physicians. We have represented nurses. We've represented physical therapists. We've represented physician assistants. We've represented ambulance companies. We routinely represent labs that are being investigated by the OIG. The Office of the Inspector General many times will issue what's known as a civil investigative demand, and it's requiring the
practice, the physician, the individual to provide documentation so that they can investigate whether or not there has been some type of healthcare fraud. We know the approach that each of these investigatory entities utilizes, and so that gives us the ability to work with the various providers to assist them in connection with preparing the appropriate response, providing the appropriate documentation, and having the appropriate response to that submitted.
