“I like feeling a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day, whether it’s from meeting that specific deadline, completing document production for a lawsuit, closing out a matter, or preparing an attorney for trial with all the tools necessary to bring in a ‘win’.”
– Elizabeth T. Garcia
Elizabeth Garcia is a litigation paralegal at Hendershot Cowart P.C. In this role, she helps attorneys and clients navigate the litigation process, moving legal disputes – over fraud, breach of contract, non-compete violations, and more – toward resolution.
Elizabeth has held various positions in the legal field for more than 18 years with litigation experience in both state and federal court. She is especially skilled at document drafting, civil litigation, and system administration.
“I enjoy knowing the litigation process well, and I expand on that knowledge any time new information becomes available. When my attorneys or clients have questions, I want to be the one with the answers.”
Elizabeth joined Hendershot Cowart in 2024, drawn by the opportunity to work on fast-paced, complex cases within a law firm that continues to grow.
“I am excited to be a part of that growth. It offers challenges to further develop both as a paralegal and as a person.”
Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in psychology from the University of St. Thomas. She holds an associate of applied science (AAS) degree in paralegal technology from Houston Community College.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys keeping up with her two daughters’ schedules, whether at school or extracurriculars, strolling through farmer’s markets, spending time with family, reading, and watching the latest crime documentaries. She is also a self-proclaimed “foodie” and loves visiting Houston’s latest restaurants.
Elizabeth and her husband are also volunteers at St. Anne Catholic School in Houston.
